PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This elegant, three storey lightweight timber building sits atop a heritage listed wharf in Victoria Harbour. The Library at The Dock was awarded Australia’s first 6 Star Green Star for Public Building Design, an achievement that represents ‘world leadership’ in sustainable design. The building’s passive design promotes natural ventilation, daylight and fresh indoor air quality, resulting in reduced energy consumption and a healthier, more productive indoor environment.

Motorised Cedar Venetian Blinds offered a seamless fit in accentuating the sleek contours of the contemporary design. Additionally, incorporating motorisation for both safety and effortless operation through the building management system, helped realise their architectural vision.
